I feel like I’m living a fairy tale. Cinderella perhaps. However, I certainly didn’t have an evil step-mom and step-sisters. I grew up with a wonderful family, full of lots of love and devotion. But just like Cinderella was robbed of the kind of youth that she should have had…so was I.
I have enjoyed my first 1.5 weeks on the Paleo Diet. What I'm finding is that it's not a diet...but an eating lifestyle. On the Paleo Diet, you eat lean meat, veggies (except for legumes (beans, etc) & high starches like corn & regular potatoes), fruit, and seeds & nuts. So no grains, added sugars, or dairy. I lived on Ezekiel Bread and Greek Yogurt up til now. I'm finding that I'm not even craving those things now. Sooooo interesting.
I came to a very important realization while I was running my 10 miles ever so slowly this morning. LOL. And it is this: I was not born to be a runner. (Hear me out here. *smile*)I grew up a huge athlete. From elementary school up through my senior year in high school, I played sports year round. Volleyball, basketball, and softball were my sports. I was on the volleyball teams because of my strong serve.
